Beauty Trends Spring/Summer 2015: My Current Favourite Look

Just as you would have expected, the beauty trends for this spring/summer consist of bright colours and pastels. The most reoccurring look is very carefree, light, bright and easy.

Obviously, your choice of foundation will depend on your skin type, but if possible, go for foundations with light reflecting particles for that flawless, dewy finish.

When it comes to cheeks, keeping things natural is your best bet. It seems lately that almost every makeup company is coming out with contour kits, which is super strange since there is hardly any chiseled features on the runway. This NYX cream blush is the perfect naturally flushed colour, and this Bourjois highlighter is perfect for keeping the skin looking fresh and glowing. The idea is look natural and breezy.

For the lips I've been keeping it easy and neutral. The idea is to look like you swiped on some gloss in a glamorous, carefree way as if without looking in a mirror. Remember, keeping things light and neutral gives that perfect, "yours but better" look that everyone is after this season.

Lately, I've been absolutely loving wearing bright colours on my lower lash line (I'm finally getting use out of my Urban Decay Electric Pallet, YAY). Instead of doing a black liner look, which can make your eyes look smaller, go for a fun colored liner, which will make your eyes appear bigger, more open and more awake.

A wash of shimmering cream all over the lid, a tad of light bronzer blended in to the crease and a swipe of mascara creates a airy, statement look that's totally wearable. I've mostly been drawn to the primary colours for under the eyes, something that has been a reoccurring trend on the runway this year in makeup and fashion but even without the bright colours underneath the eye, it's a gorgeous, simple, everyday eye look.
