Oops, I did it again! I think my shopping addiction is far from being cured. In my defense, who can resist the temptations of makeup and beauty brands that you can't buy in your home country?
Yes, I did some shopping, but it was all for the reader's benefit! So naturally, I blame you! I sure hope you like it because it's all your fault ;).
Despite their low price tag, the Yes To skin care products have a reputation comparable to that of high end brands. The Yes To Cucumbers facial wipes have received enough hype you could almost call it a cult product. I just had to try them out. With the brands outstanding reviews and my need for skin care rescue I also snatched the last bottle of the Yes To Tomatoes acne clearing facial toner. Sounds weird right? I was hesitant at first but I went with my gut, and it payed off beautifully. This toner has helped my skin immensely. I will definitely be picking up more from this brand the soonest chance I get.
Though the hype has been mostly surrounded around the Lorac Pro pallet #1, I couldn't resist the gorgeous shades in the Lorac Pro 2 pallet. When I first caught a glimpse of this pallet, used in a YouTube makeup tutorial, I knew I had to have it. I can't put my finger on what exactly drew me to this pallet. It could have been the gorgeous transition shades, the cool and warm mix of mattes and shimmers or the talk of the AH-MAZING quality. Whatever it was, I'm thrilled to have it in my collection.
Three things I did not expect to purchase on this trip. Firstly, the Pixi endless silky eye pen in Black which is now my go to black pencil for lining my water lines. Secondly, the By Terry Ombre Blackstar in "misty rock". You have no idea how excited I was to see that on the makeup counter at Barneys. Lastly, the Urban Decay 24/7 waterproof liquid eyeliner in "radium", which I found for 5 dollars at Nordstrom Rack. Needless to say, I lucked out big time in the eyeliner department.
I hit the jackpot with these E.L.F products too. The blush pallet is an item I've seen recommended tons of times throughout the world of online beauty and I can see why, the pigmentation is super strong and I'm sure this will become a new favorite of mine soon. The E.L.F Tone Correcting Powder on the other hand I had never heard of, but I thought it might make a good dupe for the Bobbi Brown brightening finishing powder, and I think I just might be right. Finally the Milani rose blush in the shade "01 Romantic Rose" was another cult internet product I was dying to get my hands on. I'm impressed so far but let's face it, half the reason this blush sells is for the adorable 3D rose pattern, am I right or am I right?
Another product from Milani that I am thoroughly impressed with so far. This brow compact (which I have in the shade "01 light") is the must have addition to everyone's makeup bag, perfect for touch ups throughout the day. As for this Wet n' Wild eye shadow trio in the colour "381B Sweet as Candy", I am insanely impressed with the quality of these shadows especially considering their extremely low price tag.
Did I go a little to crazy with my lip choices? Possibly. Clearly I was feeling brave when I went for the NYX soft matte lip creme in the shade "Transylvania", I went a tad out of the box with the Milani lipstick in the shade "Violet Volt" but I was down right mad to pick the Wet n' Wild Fergie lipstick in the shade "Pagan Angel", which IS straight black. But I don't care, I like a little madness in my makeup from time to time. As for the shades "beige" and "plush red" that I chose from the NYX Mega Shine gloss collection, well, I stuck to my makeup roots for those.
I hope you've enjoyed all the little snippets of my wonderful trip down to Phoenix. If you haven't seen my day to day lifestyle posts on my trip yet then be sure to check them out! Now remember dears, this shopping spree was really your fault, so don't let it happen again ;).
Thanks for reading.
