With makeup comes endless possibilities, that's why I love it so much. Out of all the trends we see evolve from the runway to the high street, it seems that lips change the fastest. For this fall, we see all the "expected" colours and hues. I hate that term, "expected", I prefer classic or timeless. In addition to the classic fall lippies, we have some new comers, that aren't typically considered "autumn" colours. Between the new and the old there are plenty of exciting "go to" lip colours for this season.
The 90's Nude
You may know this as the "Kylie Jenner" lip. You know the one! Over lined lips, ombré from a darker outline to a lighter inner lip and the brown undertones. I prefer to call it the "Rachel and Monica" lip or the Jessica Pearson ombré lip (that is a Suits reference, go watch it on Netflix after reading this). No matter who it reminds you of, it is a gorgeous, understated but effectively sexy lip option.

The Pop of Pink
The go to, never fail lip colour for spring and early summer is blossoming, instead, in fall. I was surprised to see so many pops of pink in the cards for this season. I suppose this trend isn't too far fetched, especially after seeing the "pastel on pastel" ensembles in Prada's Fall/Winter 2015 collection, denting everyone's idea of fall being just about burgundy and plaid. Personally I'm thrilled, since this is one of the most flattering lip colours ever, and it works on everyone.

The trend everyone's been waiting for! If you're a fellow makeup junkie, you'll have been counting down the days until fall, where we can whip out the berry tones and statement purple lip colours. It's the perfect way to embrace the season in my opinion. This is a must have in everyone's fall makeup menu.

The Orange Option
Like the pop of pink that's rising as a fall lip trend, the orange lip is another summery statement making its way to thanksgiving dinner. You'd think orange would fit perfectly as a fall lip colour, considering the "everything orange" autumn holiday. But it's only recently become accepted as a fall trend. I certainly am glad that orange has arrived, I love a bright, "leaves changing" inspired lip.
