Autumn Daily Look: Visiting the Lavender Farm

Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone! Whenever or wherever you are reading this, I hope you are having a wonderful day. If not then don't loose hope, I have some fashion talk and pretty pictures that might cheer you up.

This past weekend I decided to be a tourist in my own town and take advantage of what this beautiful city has to offer. One of my favorite places in Kelowna is the Okanagan Lavender and Herb Farm, and a sunny, brisk fall day is the perfect time to pay a visit to this gorgeous little shop. I feel like everyone around here labels our town as not good (for lack of a better word) but I disagree. Of course everyone wants to leave their home town at some point but as I sat on the balcony of this local treasure I gazed on the rows of lavender, changing leaves and far off lake and I realized just how beautiful Kelowna is, and how lucky I am to live here.

Enough with the sappy stuff, let's get back to the fashion. I always try and look my best whenever I leave my house, no matter where I'm going. I feel like every outing is an opportunity to try something new with your image. Here's what I concocted for my visit to the lovely lavender farm.

Enjoy.

You know when you go shopping and then you recount what your bought to your friends? There's always that one thing you're most excited about. The thing that you talk about first. The thing you can't wait to wear. Well, after my shopping spree in Arizona, my beloved item was the stunning, mustard suede jacket that you see in this post. I've been saving it for over a month for when I would find the perfect way to display it in a post. When I put together this outfit I knew I'd found what I was waiting for.

How incredible is the colour combination of mustard and cranberry? I'm simply obsessed. By accident I forgot to change belts on my favorite ASOS jeans, but when I slipped on the suede jacket I saw how amazing those two colours looked together. I got so excited that I tossed aside the neutral colored shoes I had ready and ran and grabbed my dusty old suede ankle boots that perfectly match my cranberry belt.

I had the boots and the belt but I was going so crazy over this colour that I had to find another way to incorporate it. I quickly sat down at my dressing table and got to work packing M.A.C cranberry eye shadow all over my lid followed by some major blending. Can you tell I get kind of nerdy excited about this kind of stuff? A new fashion discovery is like finding a ten dollar bill in the pocket of an old coat.

An outfit this loved (by me and hopefully you as well) deserves the best accessories. I had already found a winning colour combination with my mustard jacket and cranberry belt, boots and eye shadow, so I was in the mood to crack out one of my designer bags. This special little quilted Prada bag is held very near and dear to my heart. His name is Karl (if you're very confused right now you should be informed that I name my designer bags after famous names in fashion, they don't have to be the actual designer of the bag, just someone I love), after the brilliant Karl Lagerfeld. I only bring out Karl when I really want to feel special, or when I feel as though I've found a look deserving of him.

I hope you love this look as much as I do! If you get the chance, go and visit the lavender farm, it is so beautiful plus the whole vicinity smells incredible!

Thanks for reading.
