What did my thanksgiving look like? This year, like all others, was pretty chill. Those are the best days in my house. My day was spent baking with my mom, soaking in the bath with some very fitting lush products, some minor binging on my new Netflix addiction and sitting around the table with some family. That's always the best part of our holidays. Every time our family gets together we either end up brainstorming brilliant new business ideas (this year it was app ideas) or quoting our family favorites (Happy Gilmore or Home Alone most of the time). Though are table was missing a few faces this year we still managed to make it feel like thanksgivings, and that's one of things I'm most grateful for.
It was the most perfect autumn day. Brisk and sunny outside and warm and cozy inside. It's finally cold enough to turn on the fireplace! It seemed like the perfect day to indulge in a calming rose face mask and a steaming bubble bath.
Once I was out of the bath and wrapped up in a fuzzy dressing gown, I obviously needed some sustenance. Relaxing really takes the energy out of you. So, naturally, I made my way through the hectic kitchen and fixed myself a decadent hot chocolate, complete with cinnamon and marshmallows and whip cream, the whole hog.
I had my pampered skin and my delectable drink, it was time for some good old fashioned Netflix. After finishing all my favorite series', 90210, White Collar, Suits and Once Upon A Time, I returned to an ancient love of mine. Gossip Girl. I'd say that this show is a guilty pleasure but let's be honest, I feel no guilt in my enjoyment of this ridiculous show.
I only watched three episodes I swear! ;). But I had wasted enough time lounging in my PJs, it was time to face the day and that means makeup and some cute clothes.
After
the warmth of the steaming bath water, hot chocolate and my fluffy down
comforter, the crisp autumn air stung my Nars sheer glow covered face.
Even so, the fresh air was purifying and awakening. A nice long walk was
just what I needed before the face stuffing evening to come.
Please excuse the frizzyness of my hair in the pictures to come.
After my lovely fall walk my mom asked me to set the table to dinner. Little did she know that I would end up going to TOWN with the fall decorations. Time well spent in my opinion. Who can argue with some fairy lights, mason jars and antique china?
I hope you all had the most wonderful thanksgiving weekends! I also hope you liked this little sneaky peak into my holiday. I like to think that were all friends here, and as friends we need to get to know each other better!
Thanks for reading.
