Canadian Weather Fashion

There's something that makes me feel extremely Canadian in that I had to postpone the post I originally planned because it's -20 outside. Something about wearing a mini dress and tights just didn't add up. We'll have to be patient for that post to come and in the mean time take advantage of the temperature for some very trendy, northern appropriate fashion. With the weather we've been experiencing and the colds floating around, we have to do the sensible thing and dress for the purpose of warmth. This does not mean we have to sacrifice style! Maybe we'll call it bundle chic or the layers upon layers look. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Enjoy.

You can't go wrong with a long wool coat, but that's not going to be warm enough to shield you from this winter chill. I would highly recommend an extremely thick scarf and and even thicker hat. Uggs and Sorels are both acceptable as are turtle necks and fuzzy gloves.

Looking back, I think we can all thank Demna Gvasalia (designer for Balenciaga) for making it fashionably acceptable to wear brightly coloured puffer jackets and bombers. If you're unfamiliar with what I'm referencing check out this link. It may be a bit 80's but this jacket's still relevant! In the dull month on January we could all use a little neon.

Stay warm everyone.

Thanks for reading.
