It's always handy to have some Instagram photos in your back pocket right? Something you can whip out at a moments notice or pull up when you have that urge to post something but sadly you're at home watching Netflix and not doing something interesting enough to take a picture of. I suppose that's when most of us would post a beloved selfie, but I like to have some more formal photos for LightLeaf ready to go.
So, on Saturday of last I bundled up, as you'll see in the photos to come (don't judge me, my pictures weren't for Insta), and set out with my brother and good friend Megan. She generously lets us take advantage of her beautiful face and confidence in modelling all the time. You'll probably recognize her.
At first it feels a little strange having someone posing for me or telling my friend where to go or how to stand, but after a few minutes you sink into it. It was tons of fun! once we all get comfortable this incredible model-photographer relationship happens where each one feeds of the other and eventually you kind of end up reading each other minds. That's when the pictures get really good.
By the end of the shoot, my left arm was killing me from holding the extremely heavy camera and my right pointer finger was stiff from all the pointing and shooting. But I think it was worth it! I'm sure you agree with me in saying that Megan looks amazing in these pics and I hope you are satisfied with the little photography skills I have developed.
Enjoy.
