A Shopping Day All To Myself

 I'm so glad that I'm past the age where I feel the need to go shopping with a friend. Now, I find it so enjoyable to stroll in and out of the shops at my own pace. It's the most perfect "me time". Just me, the stores and hours spent in dressing rooms, spritzing perfumes and swiping credit cards.

One of my favorite things to do while out shopping is meet new people. I pride myself in my ability to instantly befriend store clerks. I swear, I'm on a first name basis with almost everyone who works at my local M.A.C.  Chatting with people who love the same things as you is inspirational and so much fun. When hardly anyone in you're life has the same passions as you, it's so exciting to finally talk to someone who does and swap opinions.

You know me, I like to look as dressed up as I can at all times, even when I'm doing something as simple as window shopping. It's an excuse to experiment with makeup and fashion which is what I live for. As you can tell, I went for a unique colour combination today, which I absolutely love. Sometimes mixing together colours that you never thought would work end up complementing each other perfectly. Like this ensemble of deep green blue along side bright orange, mint and camel. Not exactly everyone's bread and butter but I love it when something doesn't make perfect sense. It's the same as in music, though a major chord leaves us satisfied and full there's something in a minor chord that pulls you in, leaves you yearning for more, and makes your mind and senses twinge in contemplation.

How do you all like my new shoes? Maybe they're not for everyone but personally, I love a classic loafer. I see these Ralph Lauren snakeskin slip ons as the perfect opportunity to sport the "I took these from my grand mothers closet and I'm rocking it" sort of look. Know what I mean? 

If you haven't tried shopping on your own before I recommend giving it a go. Some time alone with the stores can be very therapeutic. It'll give the perfect chance to try out a unique colour combo or a new lipstick you're just not sure about yet. Go get a latte and just explore.
