After reading a recent article in Vogue, I've developed a new fascination (cough cough obsession) for fragrances. I say "new fascination" when really, I was already one of those girls who could spend hours in a department store sniffing away the day with a little dish of coffee beans in my hand.
- In case you're very confused by that statement, the scent of coffee beans clears your pallet so the many scents don't get muddled together. -
Surprising, I found myself not completely agreeing with what the article had to say. Here's my take on perfume.
Enjoy.

To live like a Parisian is the ultimate goal right? Maybe in the case of head turning street style or mysterious smoulder, but I have to say that when it comes to perfumery I prefer our North American customs. It is known that the aspiring French girl picks one signature sent in her teens, when wearing perfume becomes routine, and wears only that scent from that point onward. The transition from toxic body sprays to iconic, elegant wafts of Chanel No.5 is like a coming of age step. This French tradition I love. A scent can change not only your look but more proficiently your confidence and persona. But honestly, who could possibly choose to wear just one scent, only changing it every decade or so. There is so much potential in fragrance. I believe we should treat it like makeup and fashion. It's about portraying the theme of your look and adding depth to the roots of your style.
