Maybe you've noticed, maybe you haven't, but I have been "on sabbatical" or "taking a break" from blogging these past few weeks.
Before I continue I have to ask who else thought of Ross Geller when you read "on sabbatical"? I swear, Friends is relevant in any conversation.
Anyway, I firstly want to apologize for my disappearance. I want to say that I hope you didn't miss me to much but let's be real here, I would be very happy to know that you all have been getting a bit impatient with me. This post is sort of a little check up, to make sure you guys know that I'm still here. I am still waiting for all the chaos in my life to settle before I resume my twice a week posting pattern. But worry not, I will be back very soon.
Getting on with today's topic, fitting with the theme of my stressful life at the present, I wanted to simply talk to you about the foggy uncertainty of the future. I know that many of you reading this may be graduating this year, some of you from the same school as me (shout out to my fellow huskies). Though we may have plans and visions for the future there is no certainty, which makes it both extremely exciting or rather painfully frightening. I think that a healthy mixture of both is ideal. Not so afraid that we keep from pursuing but still scared enough so we retain some reason when it comes to being realistic.
Yes, it's important to follow your parents advice and be realistic. But we're young, we can't sell ourselves short. Unpredictability is what makes the future desirable. None of us truly know where we will go. Though I won't be leaving town right after I graduate, I still want my life to develop. Of course school will be different, but much to my dismay, the town and my schedule will not change. Maybe you're in my boat, or maybe you're lucky enough to be setting off on some fantastic adventure. But by the time September roles around we should all be pushing ourselves outside our comfort zones. In order to fulfill the surreal portrait of the future we have to evolve.
Confused? What I mean to say is that starting something new, making goals, changing your surroundings or maybe trying out a new look, will help us all to embrace the future. Personally, focusing on something new and exciting can help take away the nerves and stress. Especially that of school and other parts of the daily grind.
This relates to all of you, whether you're graduating or not. This is 2016 for goodness sake! If you're not planning on trying something new then I'll be very disappointed. It's not solely for the sake of having some futile new years resolution, but more so to help you to grow, and set your mind to something.
PS. Comment bellow what you would like to see on emeroo in the future! All ideas are appreciated.
Thanks for reading.
