Bold Summer Makeup Look

I may not be an avid festival goer, but when it comes to the up-and-coming festival girl trends, I'm eager to pull some inspiration into my everyday style. Today, with a TopShop beauty video in mind, I threw on what can only be described as a bold look, perfect for summer. Though I'm sure the majority of you are terrified at the thought of wearing this out and about, give it a chance! This look is surprisingly easy to achieve and can transform your everyday makeup into something graphic and edgy, with merely one touch of colour.

After mindlessly throwing on your everyday base and brows, reach for a peachy toned blush or as I've used here, a combination blush/bronzer powder from the new Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Pallet. After that, pop on some highlight. I obviously went for the soon to be classic, Champagne Pop. Once you're done this, it's time to move on to the eyes.

Time for the fun part. Using the Urban Decay Electric Pallet, or any bright shadow, take a flat shadow brush and pack the bright pink colour (or any bright colour for that matter) all over the mobile lid. After that, simply blend, blend, and blend some more. Add more colour and continue to blend until you have the desired blown out, messy wash of colour. There's really nothing to it! Don't forget to top everything off with some clumpy mascara and a touch of nude gloss.

Summer is the perfect time to try something crazy and fun with your makeup. There aren't fleets of colleagues or classmates to provoke fear of judgement (though we really shouldn't care what they think anyway). Play with colour and do something fearless! It's only makeup after all.

Thanks for reading.
