By now we're all accustomed to beauty loving, product recommending, internet personnel making very grand statements about how amazing the products they use are. I'm obviously guilty of it! As a blogger sometimes all you want to do is rave about things that you know will make others lives better, just as it made yours! Sometimes I think to myself "how life changing can this lip gloss really be?" Although, lip gloss can be life changing, so maybe I retract my sarcastic comment.
Skin care on the other hand, is without a doubt something potentially life changing for someone who say, has suffered from confidence shattering acne her whole teenage life. But I'm here to tell you that in the past four months I have found my perfect skin care routine. And if something can give you the confidence in yourself that these products have given me, then it is worth raving about.
Something to note is that I have normal to very dry skin, though these products are suitable for all skin types. Also, you should know that these pictures are 100% unedited to give you the real story of how my skin looks without makeup.
My routine is as follows
Cleanse morning/night - Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser
Tone morning/night - Lush Tea Tree Water
Spot Treatment whenever/wherever necessary - Lush Grease Lightning
Morning Moisturize - Mixture of Fist Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Pure Mineral Sunscreen Moisturizer, First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream and Vintner's Daughter Oil
Night Moisture & Exfoliate - Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil followed by Sunday Riley Good Genes Treatment and Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment.
I know my routine may seem a tad extensive. I'm in no way suggesting you need to be as high maintenance (or spend as much on skin care) as yours truly. All I know is that when I take all of these steps, my skin is the happiest it's ever been. So if I have to spend 30 minutes a day in the bathroom slapping stuff on my face, or spend my income on luxury skin care products, I'm going to do it.
Confidence is something that ultimately comes from within, but when my skin started clearing up I couldn't help but feel like I could take on the world. It's an incredible feeling that I want everyone to have.
Thanks for reading.
