My #1 Beauty Favourite From 2017

Though I would love to follow all of my favorite bloggers and Youtubers in the making of a 2017 beauty favorites round up, I have mixed feelings regarding beauty at the moment that are holding me back (which you will soon read a post about). Though I could easily drone on about products like the Milk Makeup stick bronzer or the Sunday Riley Luna Oil, I don’t want to bore you with the same old same old, no matter how much I love those goodies (I will link those previous posts near the end). But before we dive into that at a later date, I want my first blog post of the year to be a little simpler, highlighting the one product I discovered this year that stands out the most in terms of how it has bettered my daily routine. 

The Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner.

Why I Love it

How often do you get genuinely excited about a toner? Up until a year ago, I didn’t even know what toners were supposed to do. They were simply a step in a routine I was told I had to have. I now know that toners do in fact have a purpose; to soften the skin, balance the PH levels, and allow all other products applied after to soak deeper into the skin and work to their full potential. It turns out to be a pretty valid step! This particular toner does all of the above but with two key additional benefits that set it apart. 1. It's made from real rose water and rose petals that sooth dry or dehydrated (commonly oily) skin and calm red or irritated skin. 2. It's also a detoxifying toner that removes impurities and environmental aggressors from the skin (it even removes makeup like a dream). Overall, it's a wonderfully refreshing and gentle product to use.

How it Fits Into my Routine

Because of this toner's ability to remove impurities, I dab 3-4 drops onto a Shiseido facial cotton and swipe it all over the face in the morning. This allows for a more gentle form of cleansing for my skin, and removes a step from my morning routine. In the evening, I cleanse my skin, pour 2-3 drops of the toner into my palm, and use my hands to press the toner directly onto my skin.
