Back to School Outfits

Here are some ideas for back to school outfits! This is truly my favourite part of going back to school. It gives you a chance to change your look and since people at school haven't seen you in a while you really have the chance to make another first impression. Say there's a cute guy you had your eye on last year, but if your like me, you feel like he never noticed you. Well, this is your chance to get noticed! Make him think "hey look at her, why did I never notice her before". Personally, I always feel more confident walking down the halls in an outfit that suits my style, looks cute, makes a statement, and/or stands out in the crowd.

 This outfit is edgy meets prep. I absolutely adore the flowing sheer top (American Apparel) with a cute tie around the neck, it adds a girly element to the outfit and also makes it look well put together and smart. The flared out, black faux leather skirt (Urban Outfitters) gives off an edgier style while still having a cute shape to it. This style of skirts are perfect for any body type, I am quite petite and don't have much of a curve and I love this skirt on me however this style also looks fabulous on curvier girls! The style of shoes I have on (Winners) are very versatile, they make this particular outfit super preppy with the cute laces and chunky one inch heals, however they keep to the edgier side of the outfit with the muted, olive green colour. Overall I love this outfit a lot and think it's perfect for looking cute and smart at school.

This next outfit is perfect for the days where you want to look good but still feel super comfy! I absolutely LOVE this adorable, floral baby doll top (Urban Outfitters) with it's pastel colours, it adds the perfect amount of girlyness (that's not a word but whatever) to the look without being overly dressy. I am obsessed with these boyfriend jeans, I think they are perfect for any body type and look great on everyone. They are super comfortable and look effortlessly fashionable. I got mine at a local shop in my town however you can get them at tons of places (Holister, Bluenotes, Aritzia, etc). To finish off the look simply throw on a pair of converse and your good to go. This look is simple and stylish and bound to get you compliments at school!

I have to say I think this outfit is my favourite out of the four! I am in love with these pants (Bluenotes) they have a print of daisies and polka dots and they just make me really happy. Is that weird? Well I don't really care because it's true. When paired with this plain white crop top (H&M) the outfit looks simple but chic. I opted to wear some comfy nude and gold sandals (BCBG) but I think this outfit would look stunning with some nude heels! If you get cold easily like me you'll want to wear a jacket and I recommend either a black or brown leather jacket. With the busy print and clean lines your sure to turn heads in the hallway!

This final look is defiantly for the days where you want to be a tad more dressed up and very girly. personally I love wearing dresses to school and this particular dress is perfect for that. Since the dress has a very boxy shape it's perfect for school because you'll never have to worry about bloating or anything like that. I love the dainty lace and high rounded neck of this dress. I thought since I was already looking more fancy then usual why not add a heel in there to finish the look. I love these wedges (Ardene) they're comfortable and will make you feel confident in the classroom.

If you were wondering about the backpack featured in a few of these photos it's from Aldo and I adore it. It's a perfect size and looks wonderful with whatever you wear. I hate it when you have to transfer all you stuff into a big purse because you want to wear a skirt or dress to school and your backpack is just way to bulky and casual. With a bag like this you'll never have that problem.
