Fresh, Spring "No Makeup" Makeup Look

I've always been a "more is more" kind of girl when it comes to makeup. Who can argue with the sexy smoulder of a smokey eye, or the irresistible effect of red lip?  But, now that the weather is FINALLY warming up, I've found myself reaching for much lighter, dewy, natural looking products. Let's be honest, this doesn't happen very often, so let's take advantage of it while it lasts. Before you know it I'll be sporting this season's bright lips and pastel eyes (let me know in the comments below what kinds of posts you would like to see as far as spring beauty!)

The products below have all made the rare trip into my handbag, and even more shockingly, have yet to be taking out. These are my perfect "no makeup" makeup beauty bits.

Enjoy.

Base

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue - After hearing so much hype about this product last summer, I was reluctant to jump on the band wagon. Maybe I thought it just couldn't be as good as everyone had described. Now that It's been tried and tested, I can't fight the hype any longer. This is one spectacular product. Since I've been having fairly good skin recently, this has been the most perfect product for me. Light coverage, SPF 30 and a glowing finish, what more could you want at this time of year? If the good skin continues (I expect you to all be knocking on wood for me), I'm confident that I will wear this all summer long.

Blemish Concealer

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer - How I've ever functioned without this concealer I do not know. It's wonderfully high coverage and henceforth perfect for covering up imperfections. Yet it's completely weightless (as the name suggests) and practically undetectable on the skin.

Under Eye Concealer

Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealer - Recognize this from my top 4 drugstore concealer picks? My love for this highlighting, under eye concealer is still going strong. It's slightly pink toned, perfect for counteracting dark circles, as well as well covering, highlighting and super natural looking.

Please excuse the nice big cut on my hand. I have a Siamese cat.

Powder

E.L.F Tone Correcting Powder - Are you all sick of me talking about this product yet? Well, I've majorly hit pan on it so until I can get another, you'll be spared the constant raving. This powder is simply perfect! It softly mattifies, cancels discoloration and locks makeup into place. I couldn't go a day without it.
If you prefer more luminescence from your powder I'd go for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders or the Physicians Formula Highlighting Powder. These will still set your makeup, but add extra glow to your overall complexion.

Bronzer

Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer - A favorite amongst all YouTube and blogging personalities, I was dying to try this for months. It has since become my favorite natural bronzer. You simply can't over due it with this stuff, which is ideal for my fair complexion. All I want in a bronzer is natural, sun-kissed glow colour, and this stuff delivers.

Brush

Real Techniques Retractable Bronzer Brush - This is the only brush I've been using lately! How unlike me. It's duo-fiber, so it lightly applies product in a very natural, flawless way. I've really been enjoying using this brush for both powder and bronzer.

Lashes

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler - Every time I use these, I wonder, "how on earth did I ever live without these eyelash curlers?" Sure, it may seem a little ridiculous to spend $30 on an eyelash curler, but who doesn't love a little extravagance here and there? My lashes have truly never looked so lifted, fluttery and long. Every mascara goes further after using this one-of-a-kind tool.

Clinique High Impact Mascara - Adding this soft, lengthening mascara over your freshly curled lashes achieves a wonderfully natural, flirty look. This is the kind of effect you want for this look. As I've said, using this in combination with the Shu Uemura curlers substantially elevates the performance of the mascara, as well as elevating your lashes.

Brows

Benefit Gimme Brow - As this is my second tube, I can tell you with full confidence that I will never use any other brow gel. Not only does this keep your brow hairs locked in place all day long, but it adds a tint of colour and volume to each individual hair. On natural makeup days, I wear this alone, simply to tame and spruce up my brows. On every other day, I wear this over top of my thoroughly filled in brows.

Throw on some blush for a perky addition to this look. To keep things natural looking I'd advise going for a cream blush. To finish off swipe on some nude or pink lip gloss and you're good to go.

Let's spend less time doing makeup and more time enjoying the sunshine. For a little while at least ;).

Thanks for reading.
