2 Years of emeroo

It seems beyond strange to think that exactly two years ago today, I posted my very first blog post on emeroo. Back then, it was www.emeroo.blogspot.com, a big mess of ever changing colours, fonts and backgrounds. Looking at it now, I see how far it's come and how proud I am of what it is now. I've grown along side it these past two years.
This blog started as a simple project; something I could have in common with the girls on YouTube that I had just been introduced to and absolutely adored. As I kept going, I found my niche and discovered my one true passion in life. This has become so much more to me than a place to give people advice or inspiration, though that is important of course. Emeroo is what allowed me to explore my own creativity in a field I was previously totally intimidated by.

In many ways, my chosen career path (working in fashion in case you didn't know) terrifies me still. I used to think that it would take decades of hard work before I could make a name for myself, and make my opinion matter. Now, thanks to the age of technology and social media, everyone can overtly express their opinions.
When I write about fashion, I feel at home. I hear a little voice in my head telling me that this is what I was meant to do. Weirdly enough, as I'm sitting on my bed typing this, the song Suddenly I See, which you might recognize from the opening scene of The Devil Wears Prada (My favorite movie ever), starts plays on my Spotify. I think of this song when I'm writing all the time. "Suddenly I see, this is what I want to be. Suddenly I see why the hell it means so much me."

I obviously have to thank you. Whoever you are. Maybe you're from a country far far away, maybe you live two minutes away from me. Whether you're my mom (hi mom), my best friend, we go to school together, we dance together, we've never met, I just have to say, thank you. You've taken time out of your day to hear what I have to say, and that means the world to me. Please, stay awhile. There is plenty to see. Welcome to emeroo!

Here's to many more amazing years to come!

PS I hope you enjoy these ancient photos in which I never ended up using in a post.

Thanks for reading.
