Let me teach you a little lesson my friends, thrift store shopping can do wonders for your wardrobe. And if you want, you can call it "vintage" to save face.
I'll be honest, this incredible animal print jacket was the first thrift shop purchase I'd ever made. And yes, it is four sizes too big and yes, I did pay for it in pocket change, but it has quickly become one of the coolest pieces in my wardrobe.

Leave it to me to be the last one to jump on the decade long bandwagon of the leopard print jacket. This is one of those rare trends, that shouldn't really be called a trend at all, because it will never fade. To this day, everyone from Kate Moss to Kendall Jenner are still finding ways to make this "would-be-fad" something timeless. This statement piece is quickly becoming as much of a staple as pointed toed black courts or a crisp white button down shirt. This style choice may seem bold but you'd be surprised how versatile is really is.
Enjoy.
My style tends to stay fairly neutral, simple and streamlined, but I'm always looking for pieces that will elevate my style and bring something new to my wardrobe. If you know me well you'll know about my ever growing obsession with coats and jackets. When I saw this hung among the masses in a local thrift shop, I was immediately drawn to it because I knew that it was one of the staples in which I had been lacking for so long. I knew I had to have it. Of course, these wild life inspired coats come in all shapes and sizes. I'm still on the hunt for a longer, slimmer version of this coat, but for now, I'm simply obsessed with this over sized, slouchy look. There's something very street-style about the fit of this jacket, plus the way it hangs adds an edgy cool factor to any simple look. This piece is like nothing I've ever worn.
Think of it this way. Throwing a black leather jacket over a white tee and ripped skinny jeans is super easy right? And who doesn't love that classic ensemble. But switch out the leather jacket for a something wild and daring and just as easily, you've elevated your entire aesthetic.
Thanks for reading.
