Who remembers my Alexander McQueen Post showcasing my avid love of ruffles? Well, to keep you updated, I continuously can't get enough of them. I'm not primarily a very girly dresser by nature. I reach for the leather jackets, white tees and nude heels of the world before I even consider putting on something frilly. However, I don't want my style to ever become predictable, so lately I've ventured outside of my comfort zone and been dressing in complete girly girl form.
This style choice is perfect for summer because the options are endless. White lace covered shorts might be found shoved in the bottoms of our drawers from summers past, lace up heels, espadrilles and gladiator sandals are easier to find than the nearest Starbucks and bardot tops have become the summer 2016 staple. Fitting isn't it, that I am wearing a bardot dress for you to see here.
For my take on what I now call "Girly Boho", I wanted an unexpected spin on this constantly recycled trend. This is why I came up with the avant garde accessory of the Hermès inspired scarf. Though to some it might say, "there are exists at both the front and back of the plane", I think it adds a flirty, Parisian like flair to the overall look.
Bardot neck lines provide the perfect opportunity to show off some skin during the summer months in a way that isn't at all scandalous. This is your chance to give some much needed love to your décolletage. Spray some shimmering body oil or dust some bronzer and highlighter on your shoulders and collar bones to give off that radiant summer glow we're all so crazy about.
As the summer starts to fizzle away we need to take full advantage of this fad. It's feminine, flirty and full of potential so let's milk it for all its worth.
Thanks for reading.
