Does Makeup Have Rules?

Does makeup come with rules?
We all want to come off as progressive people right? So, the clear answer would be no. However, experimenting with makeup is rare among the majority. We tend to listen to the cosmetic companies, telling us what's trending or what's in. The other day while doing my makeup, I reached for my Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit. I then remembered reading an article about contouring being "out". Why did I suddenly feel guilty about my wish to contour like we did in the good old days? Especially when those days were only mere months ago. This ever changing world of beauty is overwhelmingly fast paced, and sometimes I wish I could just hit pause on it all to allow it to soak in. With this idea in mind, I have a new outlook when it comes to beauty. Why worry if something is still trendy when you will always love the way it looks on you? Are strong brows still in? We could search YouTube and blogs to find out, but instead I say we do what we want!

Is it strange to wear hardly any makeup of your face and eyes, while rocking a bold lip? Who cares!

Enjoy.

I've never worked with only cream products before. I've also never used foundation that is 3 shades too dark as a cream bronzer. At first it felt weird, something as simple as not using any powder made me feel like I was breaking makeup laws. Same goes for leaving gaps in my eye brows, and pairing a stained red lip with bare lashes. Ultimately, I love the finished result, and that's what should be top priority.

Thanks for reading.
