Are you one of those winter skirt/dress lovers, where no matter what the temperature the skirts will be on and the legs will be out?
Other than midterm week I'd like to think I can brave the cold and embody the idea that beauty is pain. If I want to wear a skirt, Mother Nature can't stop me. For this fall/winter in particular my skirt of choice has me feeling trendy and chic, but also loud and exciting (depending on which skirt).
The trend we've seen everywhere on the streets from the end of the summer and on-wards is the mini skirt, and more specifically leather and patent vinyl skirts. I have to make it perfectly clear, I'm not a "look at me, look at how good my bum and my legs look in this mini skirt" kind of girl. What I love about this trend is the nod to the 90s, and with my two skirts in particular, the style versatility.
With the simple navy leather mini, I love for it to be the only source of colour for a moody, sophisticated, winter appropriate look. As for this killer cherry red vinyl mini, the more colour the better. Pairing it with something like this standout Topshop ribbed top or something more simple like a white tee and a brightly coloured or patterned coat makes for a look nothing short of exhilarating.
