Shearling Aviator Jacket
Have I taken this Zara jacket off since it arrived on my door step? Obviously the answer is no, other than when I reluctantly lent it to one of my best friends for the purpose of this post. I could not be more pleased with my choice for a fall/winter coat this year. Perfectly simple in design and deliciously cozy and warm, it doesn't get much better than a classic shearling aviator. As for style, every outfit seems to be complimented by this ultra cool leather piece. Jeans, sweater dresses, trousers, and whatever else your warmth craving heart desires this season, this jacket is your perfect companion for the cold.

Something Red
Completely unrelated to the red and green colour pairing of the upcoming holidays, red is without a doubt the colour of the season and no matter the form, this showstopping shade is here to stay for the fall/winter. Whether it's a pair of crimson boots, a ruffled patterned blouse like the one you see here (or the one in this post), or a breathtaking red patent mini skirt (like the one in this previous post) or an exclusively all red ensemble, this is the shade that will brighten the upcoming cold days. Treat red as if it is a neutral; it can be styled with anything and everything.
Sweater dress
There's no better way to balance warmth and one's desire to wear a dress than a classic but versatile sweater dress. Another gem from my recent Zara order is this 3/4 length navy dress/cardigan. Obviously it leans on the side of a maxi and is a bit more of an oversized slouchy piece when I wear it versus my beautifully tall friend you see here, but either way, I'm obsessed with this piece as I am with all my sweater dresses. Pair it with over the knee boots for that oh so popular look of 2016 or style it with tights and a pair of statement boots. Even layered over jeans makes for a cozy, stylish look.

Flared jeans
Finally I've found a pair of flared jeans so I can hop on this long-lived bandwagon of 70s inspired style. These black Rag & Bone jeans add the perfect amount of trendiness to any simple look. Swapping a regular pair of skinny jeans for some flares can be your strategic, easy style move for the fall/winter.

Statement boots
I don't think my inclination to be mesmerized by these boots will ever subside. You know the ones, nude, patent with a clear block heel, and I'll say it once again, absolutely killer (see them styled again in this post). Whatever your choice of statement boots may be this year; perhaps a Balenciaga inspired sock boot, an intergalactic glitter covered Chanel pair or a studded, buckle heavy combat boot from the likes of Dior and Louis Vuitton, these will be the footwear that send your style to new heights this season, most likely becoming your most worn piece.
It's the most wonderful time of the year for making bold choices in style and being confident in your everyday looks. Let me know in the comments below your favorite piece from this post and what you plan on wearing for the upcoming season.
Thanks for reading, and a special thanks to Josee, Emily and Steph for collaborating in the making of this post.
